Grindstone, take one.

My annual Oxford-Harpenden family jaunt over and done with (this year a boat trip to the Thames Barrier, picnics and free ice-cream were on the cards), I am back in London for good (read: the summer term). And with ever-nearing deadlines, revision and exams to contend with it looks like I'm back on the internet as well. You can look forward to a drastic increase in inane and retrospective blog posts as May 18 approaches, you lucky lucky people. Within a few small hours of returning to Scawen Road my world has been reduced to the basics - hula-hoops, laptop and bedsheets - although right now almost anything else seems more appealing than the thought of actually settling down to my essays. Tonight I'm making a dent in my word count, watching the final Leaders' Debate in my pyjamas and having an early night. Welcome to the next three weeks. I am officially hanging a Do Not Disturb sign on my life.

Oh and watching Whip It today on my way back from Oxford - forget playscheme this summer. I want to work in a diner where the aprons look like this and there's a giant pig on the roof. Yes/yes?
